A German study shows that The Netherlands is still going strong on the European competition for most telephonetaps.
Italy is number one with 76 taps per 100.000 residents. The Netherlands comes in second with 62. Switzerland is number three with 32.
The US taps just half a person per 100.000 residents. So we Dutch are being tapped 124 times more than an American. That explains why Big Brother (the TV series) is a Dutch invention.
