My eyes wide open to the history of poverty and inequality, knowing how systemic corruption was created by design to produce outcomes like these for the hoarding of wealth and powerby a tiny few.
I look down at my wife’s belly and think about how important it is to hold the ambivalence of sobriety and fear alongside inspiration and joy. This paradox is the routine existence of every person alive today.
