I attended, for the first time in my life, an Opera (June 1st). Got free tickets from a friend who played in this opera where he had a walk-on part.
Liked it. Was really an experience worth repeating. After the performance all the people were giving the cast and all other people involved a standing ovation. It lasted about 5 minutes. At that time I was thinking that that was normal and part of the ritual.
But a few day’s after all the newspapers where praising this Opera. Including the words “historic moment’. Not forgetting sublime, international quality, unbelievable, fantastic, phenomenal, etc.
I was part of this ‘historic moment’ and didn’t even know…
