We are on the third and forth floor. We have no direct neighbours/buildings in the front and back. So it truly is a house with great views and plenty of sunshine.
End of this week we’ll move in.

Arrival of Sinterklaas in Amsterdam
The kids are looking forward to it. It’s exciting but it’s also a little bit frightening.
Hartog
They just celebrated their 110th birthday and this week they won a first price again after being the best Bakery of the Netherlands in 2005.
It’s always this busy at Bakkerij Hartog.
Getting there
Today they layed the top floor. Looks more like a home now. We are moving in at the end of november.
There was a lot of work done together with my parents (they are a force of nature). We got rid of the wall making it one room. Got rid of all the pink painted boards covering glass in the doors and the railings by the stairs. And painted almost everything.
My new neighbours
The tree next to my (future) balcony is home to a dozen parrots almost every morning. This guy/girl was taking a nap just one meter away from me.
