Loved seeing it grow in the past months or so.
Just outside the window of my studio. It lives on the 3rd floor of the kraijenhoff building. It has no protection at all from stormy winds or pouring rain and no real soil to hold on to.
But now it blossoms and soon it will spread it seeds. I’m impressed.

I was going to film a happening called Permanent Breakfast on het Leidse Plein in Amsterdam for De Balie Live! (live internet stream) but it’s raining so they found a new spot to do it next to De Balie.
This photo was taken before it started and at the end all seats were taken together with a lot of food for mind and body.
Since 1996 the Austrian Artist Friedemann Derschmidt is organizing permanent breakfasts in the public space. The initiative is critical about the devaluation of public space and wants to make people aware of the collective experience of our public space.
This happening was organised by De Balie to start of the cultural season within the festival “Het publieke verlangen“.

This was our last trip with Grandpa on Ameland, we visited the east side of the island. Het Oerd and de Hôn. We are going back to Amsterdam tomorrow. It was another great adventure for the boys.

At my home the garden is (like most of the Netherlands) below sea level. So it regularly transforms from garden to swamp to pond and back.
Working for my girl makes me feel gooooooooood. Although I’m more comfortable working my brain. I’m getting geekier by the minute.
After more than a week on Ameland we are back and I’m getting some yummy food in the Javastraat (Indische Buurt).
My dad makes contraptions for the boys in his garden. So much fun :)
Different sunset from France, different atmosphere. But beautiful. Still not adapted to the change, it only gets weirder. Modern travel doesn’t compute in my brain.

A trip to remember..
Omdat ik verschillende website heb, en er niet echt voordelige hosts. Is het financieel slimmer om mijn eigen server te hebben. Dus zag publiclands.nl het levenslicht. Sinds 2005 heeft het blog een nieuw design. En in dit screenshot zie je toevallig ook een ander gemaakt design voor hadewijchenik.nl :)
A whole warm and sunny day just enjoying Artis. It was fun and relaxing and we saw sand bathing elephants.
Just made a Flickr account. Never saw any use of it because I want to host my photo’s on my own site(s) and server.
Started to use plazes.com as a way to tell people where I am and how it looks like. They use Flickr for that and so I was finally seduced in using it. Think I will use it to share specific photo’s that have a interest to a larger audience and make it some sort of overview of my activities and a link to them.
Like the networking bit though and I found some photo’s of myself in the process, all made during weallspeakfootball in Berlin. Have to get used to being reproduced without knowing. Hope my soul isn’t affected by it.
